Colorants for Resin
OPLAS COLORS were developed for coloring plastics. Due to high resistance to light and heat, they are well received throughout the world. These dyes have good compatibility with resins and show brilliant and transparent colors that cannot be obtained by using pigments.
Besides OPLAS COLORS, Orient has developed other product series which are usable in various plastics, such as NUBIAN COLORS suitable for engineering plastic, and OIL COLORS suitable for other plastics.

Colorants for Coating
VALIFAST COLORS as well as VALISOL COLORS, a liquefied form of VALIFAST, are produced fully utilizing the azo-metal complex and dye-salt technology.  Because of their superior lightfastness, solubility and heat resistance, they are the top-of-the line products of  SPIRIT COLORS.
Besides their use in various types of coating materials, the products are also used for glossy coloring of gold and silver threads due to their superior fastness properties of sublimation and bleeding.

Colorants for Paint
OIL COLORS, are oil soluble dyes showing a bright color are used for coloring paints, gasoline, shoe polish, etc.   VALIFAST COLORS, have excellent solubility and show brilliant color in various solvents, are used for wood stain and leather paints applies as the top coating materials.

Materials for Recording Information
Orient supplies the most suitable materials for recording information in a wide range of areas including the general and industrial applications. These products include organic colorants used for writing ink and inkjet ink, as well as high-performance materials related to recording information, all of which are essential articles in conveying information.

Colorants for Writing Materials
Orient colorants which are used for writing materials, such as ballpoint pens, sign pens and marker pens, have a large share of the market in Japan and abroad.  We supply a diverse range of products such as OIL COLORS and VALIFAST COLORS, which are soluble in solvents, water-soluble WATER COLORS, with high purity and a limited amount of additive, and FISCO COLORS which display an excellent water resistance once dried.

Charge Control Agent for Toners
The BONTRON series was developed as charge control agents utilizing the electrical characteristics of dyes.  They are used to effectively control the triboelectric charge of toners used with electrophotography equipment, such as copying machines and printers.  The products, which have a significant market share in both Japan and abroad, come with a lineup of various series for different usage such as the N and P series for a positive charge, and the S, the E and the F series for a negative charge.

Colorants for Inkjet
ORIENT has developed, and continues to develop, varieties of colorants used in imaging materials. We have already developed the technology to manufacture high purity colorants which are used as ink for writing instruments. ORIENT has fine tuned this technology by developing colorants of ultra high quality used for INKJET printing. These colorants can be classified as water soluble and solvent soluble.
